The Contra Collective is an online collection of writing, both creative and critical, from several students based in Aberdeen, Scotland. We seek to criticise and create separate from and opposite to the dominant media, both in how we value creative work and in the ideas and issues we explore.
Victoria is an English & Film and Visual Culture student at the University of Aberdeen and is at least 94% Cher Horowitz. Outside of this her interests are fashion, intersectional feminism and cats. Scott is currently studying English and Film and Visual Culture at the University of Aberdeen after somehow managing to pass his exams by really not doing enough work. He can often be found purchasing posters of Andy Murray to add to his shrine and playing tennis 24/7, while generally refusing to take himself seriously.
